The Kansas State Fairgrounds RV Park contains 211 full service 50 amp hook-ups. Guests enjoy being within a few blocks of eating establishments, shopping and a water park, along with two renowned museums: the
Cosmosphere — which has a collection of U.S. space artifacts second only to the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum; and
Strataca — a journey 650 feet underground into the exotic world of a working salt mine.

Rates: If you would like to stay in our RV Park other than the month of September when the Kansas State Fair is taking place, our rates are as follows: $30/per night or $180 per week. Rates are subject to change and rates can vary depending on events going on at the Fairgrounds. As of May 1st, 2023 the (non-fair) monthly RV rate is $600 total cost for approximately (30) days. This monthly rate averages out to $20/night for a 30+ night stay outside of the Kansas State Fair. Again rates are subject to change and rates can vary depending on events going on at the Fairgrounds year-round.

Entrance: Entrance to the Kansas State Fairgrounds RV Park, outside of the annual State Fair, can always be attained through Gate 1 located at 2000 N. Poplar St, Hutchinson, KS 67502. Upon entering the Fairgrounds at 20th Avenue and Poplar Street, veer slightly left and go north on Ft Leavenworth Boulevard. You will proceed through the Fairgrounds and enter into the RV Park at the far north end of the Fairgrounds.
Payments: Payment can be made at the RV Park payment drop box located at the entrance to the RV Park or at the Kansas State Fair Administration Office. All credit card transactions are subject to a 3% processing fee.
Inclement Weather: The Kansas State Fairgrounds regularly monitors storms in the area. RV visitors can take shelter at 4-H Centennial Hall restrooms at the east end of the building. This building is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. However, during inclement weather, the fair staff will open this location at other times. Depending on the number of people at the RV park, the fair staff will also open up the Encampment Building. Free-standing bathrooms by the RV Park are also a shelter and are open 24-7 during the summer months. These locations are deemed acceptable by the Hutchinson Fire Department.
