Early Learners
For small children and early learners, the Fair provides an endless supply of fun ways to engage your students. We have a variety of packaged lesson plans available, but many experienced teachers build a custom plan that fits their schedule and classroom needs. Most teachers chose a few morning activities, break for lunch in the Encampment building, and continue the learning and fun in the afternoon. The Kansas State Fair staff can help you craft an itinerary that will leave a lasting impression on your students.
Intermediate Learners
A day in Kansas’ Largest Classroom will give your students a hands-on chance to see the practical applications of the subjects you’re teaching – in a way that inspires their curiosity and imagination and keeps them engaged and motivated to learn. Whether your focus is on agriculture, science, math or art, you’ll be able to build the right lesson plan for your students at the Kansas State Fair. Select one of our plans designed for intermediate students, or create your own experience from a variety of daily events that can be targeted to your class.
