Led by Jaime Parr - Nebraska State Fair
Jaime Parr is the Executive Director of the Nebraska State Fair (2 Fairs) and has worked at the Fair for more than 26 years. The Nebraska State Fair hosts an 11-day event that concludes on Labor Day, as well as the 4-day Aksarben Livestock Show. Additionally, the Fair collaborates with three local entities to organize year-round livestock shows at the Fonner Park Campus.
Jaime is a 2013 graduate of the IAFE Institute of Fair Management (IFMG) and She earned the IAFE Certified Fair Executive (CFE) designation in 2014. She serves on the IAFE Safety & Security Committee, contributing her expertise to enhance event safety.
As a Community Volunteer, Jaime supports events and fundraisers in the Grand Island area. She was honored with the LIVE UNITED Award by the Heartland United Way in 2023 for her exceptional contributions to the community. Jaime’s service extends to several nonprofit boards, including the Grand Island Public Library Board, Grand Island Kiwanis Club, the Multicultural Coalition, Heartland United Way, and Newcomers & More. Some of her favorite volunteer activities include pancake feeds (both traditional and international), the Bear Fair, Race for Grace, Toys for Tots, Junior Achievement, and more.
Jaime is currently leading a $20M stormwater mitigation project at the Fonner Park Campus, made possible through ARPA grant funding. She works closely with campus stakeholders, including the City Field House, VenuWorks-operated event center, Grand Island Casino and Resort, and Fonner Park, the landlord and horse racing partner.
Jaime is married to David Parr and is the proud mother of thirteen-year-old Sophie Jo.
