Join the Kansas State Fair in its recycling efforts!
Here's just a sampling of some of the "green things" the State Fair is involved in:
* Tons and tons of animal waste and bedding removed from the Fairgrounds are taken to a compost pile at the Reno County Landfill.
* Throughout the year, the Fair utilizes recycled toner and printer cartridges in its office equipment.
* The Fair has installed electrical sub-metering equipment in many of its highly-used buildings to better control utility use.
* The Fair encourages the recycling of cardboard, paper, plastic bottles, and aluminum. Special containers are provided during the Fair and throughout the year for the collection of 20 oz. plastic bottles and cardboard.
